What Level Are You Playing At?

Hello Friends, Fellow Hairstylists, and Members of HairDesignerTv,

It’s February and if you’re anything like me, New Year resolutions are yesterday’s news! I have gotten so busy with creating new and exciting content for HairDesignerTV and everything else has fallen to the wayside!

Im definitely not complaining because I am filming better work than ever! I couldn’t understand why I felt more confident with this content than I ever had. Then, one day it dawned on me! PRACTICE!

When I push myself to make incredible content, then fall short, I go into my studio at night, when I can’t be bothered, and I perform these looks over and over until I get the result I feel my members would be most excited about! I do not stop until it is perfect.

Let me ask you something. What level are YOU playing at?

Are you treating your craft like a hobby? This means casually playing around with new ideas but not practicing them.

Are you serious about your skillset? Do you practice at least once a week?

Are you a “hair nerd?” Do you study a little everyday? This means watching videos, going to workshops, and practicing on mannequins.

I am not saying one is better than the other and we all have our own idea of what our version of success looks like! However, if you want to make more money, retain a large clientele, and be one of the most sought after hairstylists in your area, you’ve got to own your craft like the most sought after hairstylist.

If you have dreams of becoming a well known instagram influencer, platform artist, or educator, your work has to be one of the best on the market!

The reality is….

You can’t have a million dollar dream on a minimum wage work ethic!

If you’re looking for more ways to increase your skill level, check out the new content on HairDesignerTV! Keep your eyes peeled for my newest tutorial coming out soon.. The Ponytail Story!
