Romantica, a very heart-warming, romantic collection manages to successfully impact the commercial mind. How, you may ask? Take one of the hottest new fashion trends, ‘The Braiding Bar’. It’s all about increasing your long hair business via editorial styling. Braided hairstyles are fun, easy to wear and a great weekend look that goes from lunch with the girls straight into an evening with a hot date dancing the night away!

“I believe it’s about fashion that stands out, yet fits in”. The Romantica collection features a mixture of braids from 2 strand fish tail braids, 3 strand upside down braids and 3 strand rope braids. What is unusual about some of the braids is the mix and combination of backcombing, mixing up the braids and the “push/pull” braid effects, all of which create additional volume and design. I think it’s important that braided styles look high fashion and grown up. It’s all about the detail in design, so mix it up and have fun!

To support the Romantica collection, HairDesignerTV is launching a 16-week editorial dresswork series that will feature a section on the art of braiding. Check out our Romantica video at hairdesignertv.com for more inspiration! This collection was filmed on location in NYC at Vivienne Mackinder’s 3 Day Photographic Workshop “ How to Build a Portfolio”
