Hi there my friends, In this episode of Tips and Tricks we explore the world of colors, that completes and look and does not compete. Check out the video below.

Do you ever have a client sit in your chair that once was a lovely brunette wearing a warm makeup blend? Then through the passage of time she slowly turned a lovely grey? But, while here hair color changed her make up did not and she is still wearing a warm makeup, even though her hair is now cool?
So now, instead of a compliment of skin tone, makeup and hair color all the color pallets clashed.

Or how about the client that sees a celebrity with blonde hair and she wants to be a blonde BUT her skin tone is too olive or pink.
Do you relate?

As you know it is hard to convince a guest to change her color when just working from a color chart or small hair swatch. But, when the color is draped around the face (as in Try Color) our professional advice is better understood. From my experience we get BUY IN and increased sales.
Well I have been having fun with the Paul Mitchell team and my Try Color, teaching right and wrong color matches. Often we learn more from what does not work that what does work so here are a few fun images, on training the eye to see the perfect harmony of make up and skin tone.
