Unlock your creativity

HI there my Friends at HairDesignerTv and Fellow Colorists and stylists,
I do believe most of us came into hairdressing for the love of beauty and fashion. With  the opportunity to explore our creativity, while adding value to our clients lifestyle.  One thing that Amazon can not take away from us is the ability to custom design a look that works from head to toe.

As you all know I am obsessed with the ‘Art of consultation’; teaching stylists these skills and educating my clients about the total look, has become my quest!! Which is another thing that Amazon can not offer.  While retail is loosing ground we may be the last ones standing as long as we give a 5 star consultation, a great hair service, with an exceptional experience.

I recently had the honor of working with Pivot Point International to create  a new collection.  The images within this blog show the rebranding of an awesome company that ‘students of knowledge‘ have grown to love and trust.
PS I will be sharing more of this collection with you in future blogs.

When I met with the fabulous creative team at Pivot Point I used my consultation form; these were the key questions I asked. Questions that you could apply to your brand, for press, social media and any advertising campaigns.  I hope you find this helpful.  A BIG THANK YOU TO THE AMAZING TEAM AT PIVOT POINT XX

PS check out my live event for 2018 I hope you will join me in NYC or the Hamptons for a great workshop experience.  @viviennemackinder.com   Live events (see below the first workshop in 2018)

“How do you stand out, in the sea of sameness”?

When evaluating your postings on social the following are important questions to ask yourself:-
  1. What is my style’? And what is it not?
  2. What ‘Life style’ does my work express?
  3. ‘Fashion style’ from head to toe –  Classic – Trendy – Edgy?
  4. ‘Personality’ – How quiet or loud are my styles?
  5. Attention and awareness in person or online? Do you want to be noticed? Or Invisible?
  6. ‘Beauty’ – what is beauty to you?
  7. How do you rate the ‘Sexuality’ or your styles?  Glamorous – Sexy or Boyish?
  8. How ‘Expensive looking’ are your cuts, color and styling?
  9. How on trend? Or Relevant are your images to your market place?

When you take the above into consideration; you are intentionally creating a brand?
That will or will not have impact and a call to action?

I hope this gives you something to think about as you continue to build your brand in social media and do 5 star consultations.

    Thanks for visiting today.
Please share this link with your friends, thank you. xx
